The BWLC HealthCare Committee focuses on the ongoing and persistent disparities in access and utilization of health care services. Through acknowledgement of culturally appropriate and gender specific high need domains, we identify improvements in policy, funding and practice that will yield improved outcomes for women of color, families and communities.

Our belief is that these domains will serve as the backdrop to solution focused conversations that intersect both mental health and physical health. Our mission is to target these domains in an effort to illuminate both the challenges and opportunities most relevant to the wellness and empowerment of women of color in Philadelphia and beyond.
